♥ - WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD 03/13/2013 - ♥

May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always understand.
May the pain you have known
And the conflict you have experienced
Give you the strength to walk through life
Facing each new situation
With optimism and courage.
Always know that there are those
Whose love and understanding
Will always be there
Even when you feel most alone.
May you discover enough goodness in others
To believe in a world of peace.
May a kind word, a reassuring touch,
A warm smile, be yours every day of your life,
And may you give these gifts as well as receive them.

Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.
Teach love to those who know hate,
And let that love embrace you as you go into the world.
May the teaching of those you admire
Become part of you,
So that you may call upon them.

Remember, those whose lives you have touched
And who have touched yours are always a part of you,
Even if the encounters were less
Than you would have wished.

May you not become too concerned
With material matters, but instead place
Immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.
Find time in each day to see the beauty
And love in the world around you.

Realize that each person has limitless abilities,
But each of us is different in our own way.
What you may feel you lack in one regard
May be more than compensated for in another.

What you feel you lack in the present
May become one of your strengths in the future.
May you see your future
As one filled with promise and possibility.

Learn to view everything
As a worthwhile experience.
May you find enough inner strength
To determine your own worth by yourself,
And not be dependent on another's judgments
Of your accomplishments.
May you always feel loved!

"We all make mistakes,
have struggles,
and even regret things in our past.
But you are not your mistakes,
you are not your struggles,
and you are here NOW
with the power to shape your day
and your future."

~ Steve Maraboli

A bend in the road
is not the end of the road...
 Unless you fail
to make the turn.

There is no love
without forgiveness,
and there is
no forgiveness
without love.

- Bryant H. McGill

A broken bone can heal,
but the wound a word opens
can fester forever.
 Forgiveness is not always easy.
 At times,
it feels more painful than the wound we suffered,
to forgive the one that inflicted it.
And yet,
there is no peace without forgiveness.
 Forgiveness is the salve
that heals the wounds
of unkind words and acts.
Forgive everyone
for every hurt you have ever received -
for your own sake,
that you may live in peace.

Sometimes
you have to forget what's gone,
appreciate what still remains,
and look forward
to what's coming next.

- Responding To Reality -
When you think that the world is against you,
 it is.
When you know that you can do it,
 you can.
If you're sure that today will be
tedious and boring,
it will be.
When you're certain that you can succeed
no matter what the obstacles,
 you will.

Reality is what it is.
And yet what truly matters
is how you perceive, relate,
and respond to that reality.
For every situation,
what you think,
what you believe
and what you know
will determine what you do about it.
And what you do about it
will determine how it turns out for you.

Your reality can be completely different

 than the reality of someone
standing right next to you.
Because it's not where you are
or what you have that matters,
but what you do with it.

Though thinking alone
does not cause anything to happen,
thinking plays a crucial role
in determining specifically
what does happen.
When you think it,
to the point that
you know it without a doubt,
it will be.

~~Ralph Marston

Banig or brown mat is a traditional
hand-woven mat commonly used for sleeping.
Banig weaving is a genuine treasure handed down
as a tradition or a trade from one generation
to another as it is widely practiced in the country.
Its ingenuity is very much employed in its creation
and the designs may vary from the practices
of those from other regions.
