The secret of life isn't what happens
to you,
but what you do with what happens to you.
Help other people to cope with their
problems
and your own will be easier to cope with.
Never use the word impossible
seriously again.
Toss it into the verbal wastebasket.
Self-trust is the first secret of
success.
So believe in and trust yourself.
Stand up to your obstacles and do
something about them.
You will find that they haven't half
the strength you
think they have.
Joy increases as you give it,
and
diminishes as you try to keep it for yourself.
In giving it, you will
accumulate a deposit of joy
greater than you ever believed possible.
How you think about a problem is more
important
than the problem itself - so always think positively.
''Keep your hands open,
and all the
sands of the desert
can pass through them.
can pass through them.
Close them,
and all you can feel is a bit of grit.''
and all you can feel is a bit of grit.''
" For me,
winning isn't something
that
happens suddenly
on the field
when the whistle blows
and the crowds roar.
Winning is something
Winning is something
that builds physically
and mentally every day
that you train and
every night
every night
that you dream."
Out of every crisis
comes the chance to be reborn,
to reconceive ourselves as individuals,
to choose the kind of change
that will help us
to grow and to
fulfill ourselves
more completely

Life
becomes harder for us
when we live for others,
but
it also
becomes richer
and
happier.
----
Albert Schweitzer
Do not
spoil
what you have
by desiring
what you have not;
but remember that
what you have not;
but remember that
what you now have
was once among
was once among
the things you
only hoped for.
only hoped for.

Do not permit anyone
to narrow and degrade
your soul.
Be yourself,
and feel the peace
within you.

Resentment is like a
parasite.
It feeds on you and leaves you
weakened by its presence.
Its only
purpose is to take from you –
and take it will.
Break free and shake resentment off!
Break free and shake resentment off!
There’s
simply no room in your life
for this negative energy.
You have so much to do
and so many places to go.
If you let resentment get in the way
you’ll never
reach your potential.
Start by focusing on what you do have,
Start by focusing on what you do have,
not on
what is lacking.
Stop fretting about what should have been,
and concentrate on
what could be.
Forgive, forget, and move on.
Let go of resentment today
Let go of resentment today
and you’ll be amazed
by all the space
it leaves in your life for better things.
“Young friends, do not hesitate to follow the example of Pedro,
who ‘pleased God and was loved by him’
and who, having come to perfection in so short a time,
lived a full life.”
– Pope John Paul II
Alimango (Mud Crab)
Alimango (Mud Crab) are originally mangrove dwellers but now widely farmed in ponds with brackish water. They are plentiful in the remaining mangrove areas around the country and range in size from tiny babies to the giants at about 1 kilo a piece. They have medium to firm textured meat with a delicate sweet flavor that I find absolutely delicious. They have much thicker shellsthan the blue or orange shelled crabs that seem to have more delicate meat.
They can be prepared steamed with
lots of old bay seasoning, or steamed
plain and served with lemon butter,
stir-fried with garlic and oil, cooked
with chili and tomatoes, boiled in
coconut milk, and fried into crab
cakes.
